My name is Valerie McWhorter. I have been teaching since 2008. I have taught all subjects in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades - ELA and social studies are my favorite! My husband and I live in the Roopville community with our three girls, Ava, Allie, and Abigail. I love to read a good book, go camping, kayaking, hiking, and cheer on the Braves and the University of Tennessee. Country living and being near family is our favorite part about living in Roopville. We are also active members of Roopville Road Baptist Church. You might see me at my girls' soccer games or even coaching one of their teams. 

I am looking forward to a great year in 5th grade! It is very rewarding to see their progress at the end of the year.
