Bio
Mrs. Jennifer Carroll began teaching in 1998 after graduating from The University of West Georgia with a degree in Middle Grades Education. She spent three of those years teaching in Douglas County, Georgia before moving to Carroll County. Mrs. Carroll earned Master's and Specialist's degrees from Piedmont College in 2011 and 2012. She is married to Phillip Carroll of Carrollton, Georgia. They have three children, Drew, Carson, and Lilly. Mrs. Carroll is an avid football and baseball fan. She enjoys traveling and reading. Mrs. Carroll is the Gifted Facilitator at Roopville Elementary School.
Mrs. Carroll was named the Roopville Elementary School Teacher of the Year in 2017. In 2018, she was awarded the Georgia Farm Bureau Teacher of the Year for the state of Georgia for her work in integrating agricultural concepts into the classroom. Mrs. Carroll has presented at The Georgia STEM/STEAM Conference in Athens, Georgia, The National Ag in the Classroom Conference in Portland, Maine, and The Georgia Instructional Technology Conference in Atlanta, Georgia. In 2020, Mrs. Carroll received the Georgia STEM Scholar award from Georgia Youth Science and Technology. Most recently, Mrs. Carroll was awarded the Trailblazer award from Carroll County Schools.
In addition to her duties at RES, Mrs. Carroll also serves as the Carroll County Elementary Gifted Liason. This position allows her to help serve and work alongside all gifted facilitators in Carroll County.
