Anna Clifton, Principal
(P) 770-854-4421 | (F) 770-854-3001
My name is Anna Clifton, and I am the Principal at Roopville Elementary School. Throughout my personal educational career, I have had the opportunity to experience many schools throughout the United States. Growing up, I attended schools from Jacksonville, Florida, to Minneapolis, Minnesota. My father was transferred for the last time back to our hometown of Anniston, Alabama. There, I attended middle school and completed high school at The Donoho School in 1996. I chose to seek both my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education and Masters degree in Educational Leadership at Jacksonville State University. As a young college graduate, I was eager to begin my career as an educator. I was granted a position with Carroll County at Crossroads Academy as a Language Arts instructor to middle and high school students in multi-age classrooms. Though a great deal was learned from these students and colleagues, I chose to accept a position within my area of certification at Villa Rica Elementary School. The next several years were devoted to fifth grade students preparing for the transition to middle school. My next educational opportunity gave me the occasion to share my skills and knowledge by supporting my colleagues as Curriculum Specialist of Villa Rica Elementary School. Eager to expand my learning of the educational realm, I became the Assistant Principal of Villa Rica High School. The blessings are overflowing by having the occasion to work alongside so many incredible faculty and staff members, students, parents, and community members here at Roopville Elementary School. I am married to Chad Clifton who is Creative Pastor at Midway Church. We are blessed with 3 amazing children, Gracie, a 2nd grader at RES, Jackson, a PreK student at RES, and our baby, Caden. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, reading, cooking, and smocking.

My name is Dr. Marissa Ogando, and I am the Assistant Principal here at Roopville Elementary School. I began my educational journey by earning my Bachelor of Science in Middle Grades Education with a concentration in Social Studies and Language Arts from the University Of West Georgia. In October 2004 I received my Master of Science in Instructional Technology from American Intercontinental University. In November of 2006, I received my Educational Specialist in Curriculum and Instruction from Argosy University in Atlanta, Georgia. In March of 2007, I graduated with a Doctorate in Instructional Leadership. I was able to accomplish this through faith and family. I am so fortunate to belong to a loving and supporting church. I attend Zion Baptist in Canton, Georgia. I have also been blessed with a terrific family! I have two daughters, Briana (8) and Ariel (3), new baby Madelyn and a wonderful husband, Jonfry. I am excited to be involved in the daily lives of our students here at Roopville Elementary School. I truly believe it is my mission to help them find joy in some way everyday, as well as provide them with guidance to pursue greatness in their lives.
