District Newsletter

Our vision is to be recognized as a premier school district,
and our purpose is to positively change lives.

Message from the Superintendent, Scott K. Cowart

We are delighted to share with you the premier accomplishments that have been achieved this year!

The district and many of our schools rank among the best in Georgia based on academic performance. And, all five high schools earned a graduation rate of more than 90% for the second consecutive year. The district graduation rate is at an all-time high of 93.3%, which is the second highest graduation rate for multi-high school districts in Georgia.

You will find out more about these exciting highlights and other celebrations in this newsletter. Additionally, we are excited to share valuable resources regarding the importance of discussing best practices for internet usage with your children.

We are incredibly proud of our students, teachers, and administrators for their commitment to being premier! Your support is key to our continued success, and we appreciate the opportunity to serve your family. Thank you for choosing Carroll County Schools!

Premier Partnerships

Southwire employees surprised our Social Workers with a $7,500 check for their emergency fund to help Carroll County families in need. Thank you to the Southwire Team for supporting our efforts to positively impact the lives of those we serve!

The Carroll County College and Career Academy hosted “Community Day” to express appreciation to the community partners who support the many premier program pathways offered at both campuses.

Carroll County Schools not only focuses on success in the classroom, but we also recognize the importance of offering premier experiences and building relationships in our community. A few examples of the opportunities our students have had this year include: the Senior Expo for the Class of 2020, sponsored by the Carroll County Education Collaborative; the Creole 4 Kidz field trip, sponsored by the University of West Georgia, and STEM Day, sponsored by the West Georgia Youth Science Technology Center.

The Carroll County Schools Performing Arts Center also served as the host site for the Community Foundation of West Georgia’s annual fundraiser. The event raised more than $20,000 for the “Power of the Purse” to support the local needs of women and children.
